International High IQ Society

I joined IHIQS in 2011. When I joined, I was in a systems engineering course in graduate school, searching for an outlet to participate in intellectual discussions. Surprisingly, I hoped to discuss music theory and emerging theoretical music research with like-minded people, but I have encountered so much more during my involvement in the organization. I think that people don’t often realize that, for some people, the need for intellectual stimulation is akin to the need to breathe; we must seek it, or else life is mundane, and the desires of our hearts remain unfulfilled. I am happy to have had the opportunity to satisfy my intellectual curiosity in IHIQS.

As a member of the International High IQ Society (IHIQS) and an IT professional with extensive experience, I can’t recommend this community enough. IHIQS provides a unique platform for like-minded individuals to connect, share ideas, and foster innovation. My time with the society has been incredibly rewarding, offering me opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. I’ve been able to engage with experts from various fields, which has enriched my understanding and approach to both technology and management. The Society’s commitment to ethical practices, especially in the realm of AI, aligns perfectly with my own values and professional focus. I invite anyone passionate about technology, leadership, and continuous learning to join the IHIQS. It’s more than just a society; it’s a place where you can challenge yourself, connect with peers from around the globe, and contribute to meaningful discussions. The International High IQ Society is not elitist in its percentile requirement, nor in its approach to neurodivergent members. Its structure reflects this: discussions focus on interests and knowledge, and when intellectual ability is addressed, it is done to foster understanding and empathy. For these reasons, I fully recommend joining the Society, which is also excellently led by Dr. Alice K. Burridge.

I can’t say that I joined IHIQS for positive reasons. I have always had a gap between me and the people around me. IHIQS has a group for people struggling with these gaps where I can discuss them. The members of IHIQS are caring, no one is agressive, and I feel very comfortable here. I don’t log in often, but I feel at peace when I visit. If you are struggling in your small world right now, please join IHIQS.

I joined the IHIQS Community while looking for a place where people are still interested in reading and understanding each other’s points of view and not just replying and debating with shallow arguments. Some of my generation may recall Netiquette, an antique piece from the internet that has vanished from most social media. It still exists here, without it needing to be written somewhere, exactly as it once was. “Kick the ball, not the player” is the motto. And yes, it works. I found a place to spend part of my free time without feeling that it is time wasted, discussing and sharing ideas with people with the same interests. Within the IHIQS Community, there are multiple hubs where you can raise and discuss specific topics and receive valuable comments from peers and other subject experts. It is inspiring to be part of it.

The International High IQ Society doesn’t just affirm one’s IQ; it offers a place for intellectuals to meet and mingle with like-minded individuals. It offers an unparalleled community to discuss ideas and worldviews with open minds and hearts.

I joined the International High IQ Society in 2002 while at Ohio University. I found myself desiring to dive into areas across all realms of academia and cognitive depth; however, it was difficult to find a place where like-minded individuals with similar capacities could dialogue with wisdom, debate with intellectual honesty, and seek truth through research. I praise God for this organization. Truly, it has been a joy to experience, communicate and be part of the International High IQ Society. Ranging from physics to poetry and everything in between, my love for theology, as well as my love for astronomy, was fully accepted, and I noticed that many of my fellow members had a wide range of intellectual interests. It is a cerebral family in many ways.

I have discovered in IHIQS a sanctuary where members can meet and freely express themselves, away from the stereotypes that define “gifted.” Many of us experienced this bias growing up, and these experiences have often defined us in a negative way. As a creative, this particularly affected my writing and career choices. I used to wonder why I never “fit in”. I’m grateful that acknowledging this difference has returned me to my original path. In the IHIQS space, I have discovered a sanctuary that enables me to express myself authentically. The forums are a gateway to meet other like-minded members and communicate openly without the adverse and often disparaging reactions I have encountered over the years. IHIQS has provided a haven where I can be myself among like minds and enjoy discussions I don’t commonly find elsewhere. As a writer and artist, I’ve been a salmon swimming upstream against the current of conformity and revel in an environment where I’m not asked to dumb it down or challenged by those who don’t understand the creative passion. I’m grateful to have such a venue.

The International High IQ Society has connected me with a thoughtful and supportive community that encourages deeper thinking and genuine intellectual growth. I especially value the emphasis on insight and collaboration rather than competition, as it fosters a welcoming environment. It has been a very meaningful space to meet people who communicate clearly and enjoy engaging with complex questions, and I feel fortunate to be a part of it!

I’ve been very welcomed into the community. The quiz is good fun, though it’s hard to win, as you can imagine. You’re never going to get bored being a member, as there are so many different areas to explore, and members are always putting things of interest in chat rooms for other members to look at. It’s hard to believe that you couldn’t find something of interest here. The members are all friendly, from what I have seen. Some members helped me find something out in mathematics and explained it to me, which was nice.

I’ve been in the IHIQS from the very beginning, and I’ve been here for nearly a quarter of a century. It was, it is, it will always be a special Community for me—a place where I could find friends, share thoughts, and share moments of my life. It was fantastic because we had a wonderful founder, Nathan, not only a super bright man, but a very special guy, always present, always ready to listen to everybody. It is fantastic now because we have a great President, Alice! Communities have changed since the beginning; a different recipe is necessary now to keep them healthy and growing. She was able to completely renew our community, pushing everyone to increase interaction among us. I had friends here in the past; I have more friends now. She drove us to meet, and it was a great boost for me. A thing is to know people you don’t see; meeting them is altogether another story! Thank you, Alice, thank you, IHIQS!

I entered IHIQS after having read that the group was almost dead. As soon as I entered the forum, I was in awe. Such a complex, deep and complete structure to gather people with high IQs was really unexpected, especially because I did not know the society until shortly before. I found like-minded people with whom I could discuss anything and with a level of courtesy and intellectual stimulus that is rare even in other high IQ societies. I found suggestions and food for thought – anything I was looking for.

IHIQS is an association with fascinating members. We talk about many topics and respect for other people’s ideas is the basis of all communication within the community. I was looking for a place to share my ideas (not ideologies) pleasantly and constructively, and I think I found it. The people in charge were also very good, especially Alice, who accompanied me inside.

I joined IHIQS to engage with bright, like-minded, yet diverse individuals, and my experience has far exceeded my expectations. IHIQS is a melting pot of ideas and critical thinking and has sparked many fascinating conversations since I joined.

A friendly organisation with welcoming people :)

I have been a member of the International High IQ Society for over ten years, and I still remember the excitement when I first came across the IHIQS website. First the challenge to do the test and then the satisfaction to fulfill the requirements to join a very prestigious society. I am a member of many societies, but joining IHIQS was one of my greatest achievements. The society also has an excellent website, a platform where members can interact.

I have been a member of IHIQS for a while now. The website is put together very well and is made for people to interact with each other. The members are very thoughtful in their responses. Alice is particularly helpful, and is a wonderful coordinator. I have met people who work for the Canada Space Agency, entrepreneurs, and people in other professions. The group is a varied mix of people in different industries.

Joining the IHIQS community has exceeded my expectations. It provides gratifying stimuli to witness and participate in harmonic interactions with like-minded individuals from all over the world. The fluidity of ideas, mindful problem solving, the luxury of discussing boundless topics that penetrate beyond the typical scratching-the-surface jargon and the support and understanding that emanate from each member to one another are incomparable to all other memberships or organizations I’ve experienced. It’s beautiful really. IHIQS has satiated the craving I have been seeking for what seems like the majority of my life.

I joined IHIQS as an expression of my support for standardized tests in general, both as a flashlight (often the only) helping to identify talent in unexpected social strata, and in doing so, promote upward social mobility. IHIQS can also be an instrument with which society can optimize the use of human resources. In addition, I think that when 3,000+ exceptional intellects are brought together, they can eventually produce an undividable something that is much bigger than the sum of its 3,000+ parts.

I learned about IHIQS when I was a school kid searching for an IQ test. I tried, and I got in. Even though IQ isn’t necessarily a privilege, meeting with other like-minded intelligent people is of real value to me. I met some interesting people on the forum, and their views and opinions have shaped quite a lot of my own. I am thankful for the opportunity. If you like meeting eclectic people with high IQ, this is the platform to be on.

The International High IQ Society not only brings together individuals possessing exceptional intelligence but also provides members with a supportive community and opportunities for intellectual growth. It is an excellent platform to connect with like-minded individuals, gain validation for one’s abilities, and engage in thought-provoking activities. All of this is made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of Alice Burridge, PhD, and the kind-hearted members of the community.

I have been a member of the International High IQ Society for several years. The community is incredible; its evolution over the years is remarkable. It has an intuitive platform with several topics of great interest. The members are exceptional, participative and cooperative. It is a great pleasure and pride to belong to this community. I’m so happy I was finally able to join IHIQS. There are times when I want to talk about specific topics in abstract ways, and the IHIQS community affords me this luxury. We talk about all sorts of things in our forums, from science to technology to art and beyond – it’s an incredible experience. Additionally, I love that IHIQS is a worldwide community, so that I can discuss opinions and ideas with people from different backgrounds and life circumstances than I have. Being an IHIQS member is one of the most rewarding and mentally-invigorating experiences available to us and I am thankful and proud to be part of this remarkable community.

IHIQS isn’t just a high-IQ society — it’s one of the few global spaces where nuance, imagination, and systems-level thinking still matter. As an author and boundary-pushing creator, I value environments that don’t flatten ideas but expand them. Here, conversations range from science to art to sociopolitical analysis with a level of depth that’s almost extinct elsewhere. What IHIQS gives me is rare: peers who think divergently, question assumptions, and innovate with intention. It’s a hub for those who feel ahead of the curve and still want to grow. If you operate at the edges of creativity and critical thought, this is home.

The International High IQ Society has been a great theatre of ideas for me. It opened up a whole new network of free thinkers to me. My biases have been challenged and it’s very enjoyable to have an intellectual conversation with a range of people from all over the planet. I always enjoy engaging with IHIQS members.

The idea behind IQ testing entered my life as a 7-year-old after a drowning accident. I was subsequently subjected to a battery of tests, and it opened up doors for me that would radically change the course of my life. After being invited by a friend who is a member of another well-known IQ organisation to attend one of their events, I was searching for tests to get an up-to-date result and came across IHIQS. This was some years ago, and life “happens,” but more recently, I saw that IHIQS today has become an extremely diverse and intellectually rich environment, doubtlessly enabled by the wonderful Alice Burridge, whose mitochondria are obviously functioning very well. In the digital world, I hope to carve out some time to both contribute to and profit from this exciting ecosystem. I am interested in meta-cognition, root cause analysis, road and mountain biking, skiing, literature and music, and, in this present day, new models for all our broken or outdated political, economic, financial, educational, and other systems. I hope IHIQS might be a platform for bouncing ideas on some or all of these topics.

Joining the International High IQ Society has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. I’ve connected with many like-minded individuals through the forum, each bringing unique insights across a wide range of interest groups—from science and philosophy to the arts and beyond. What truly sets IHIQS apart is the warm, welcoming environment created by our incredible host, Alice, along with her dedicated team of group moderators. Their commitment to fostering thoughtful dialogue and mutual respect makes this a place people genuinely want to return to—both for stimulating conversations and the strong sense of community.
